'San Diego U-T' Enters Partnership with Local ABC Station

By E&P Staff

Published: October 30, 2009 2:16 PM ET

NEW YORK The San Diego Union-Tribune and the local ABC affiliate 10News have forged a content-sharing partnership under which the two outlets will share news, pictures and video and will team up on projects.

The Union-Tribune will provide reporters for in-studio speaking engagements. SignOnSanDiego.com will have access to 10News video. The TV station's chief meteorologist, Byron Miranda, will be displayed on the Union-Tribune's weather page alongside the paper's weather expert, Robert Krier.

Both outlets plan to promote and market the alliance.

"This partnership will provide an even wider audience for [Union-Tribune] content and will leverage the strong Union-Tribune brand, and the knowledge and reporting resources of our staff," Ed Moss, the Union-Tribune's president and publisher, said in a statement.
