NEW YORK Wilmington (Ohio) News Journal and Brown Publishing Company (BPC) Group Publisher Pamela Stricker announced on Tuesday that Lora Abernathy had been named to the newly created role of online editor for Brown Publishing's southwest region in Ohio.

In her new position, Abernathy will be responsible for all online services, social networking, and web design for the southwestern area BPC publications.

A 1999 Marshall University alumna, Abernathy has previously worked at JSN & Associates, a grassroots lobbying firm in Dayton, Ohio. She has designed Web sites for West Virginia electoral candidates and for various small businesses.
