By E&P Staff

Published: September 22, 2009 9:57 AM ET

NEW YORK Beginning Tuesday, Scripps Howard News Service will offer a weekly travel etiquette column called "Dear TripAdvisor."

Written by Lesley Carlin of the popular travel advice Web site TripAdvisor.com, the column will answer readers' questions on such topics as proper tipping, how to report bad service without causing a scene, and dealing with overly talkative seatmates on planes.

TripAdvisor.com is an online travel community featuring more than 25 million user-generated reviews and opinions and garnering more than 25 million monthly visitors. The site's users review hotels, attractions, restaurants, and more all across the globe based on their own experiences.

Carlin has been writing about travel and etiquette for more than 10 years. As one of the "Etiquette Grrls," she is the co-author of "Things You Need to Be Told and More Things You Need to Be Told" (Berkley).
