NEW YORK Advantage Newspaper Consultants (ANC), a leading provider of advertising sales support for newspaper TV supplements, has entered an agreement with Transcontinental's The Guardian in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, to help increase the paper’s print and online TV listings revenue share.

In addition, as part of ANC's ongoing acquisition of Tribune Media Services' local ad sales division, ANC is also providing ad sales support to the TV section of the Prince Albert (Saskatchewan) Daily Herald.

“We are excited to bring our extensive experience in boosting TV book ad sales to the Canadian marketplace,” John Jones, ANC's vice president of advertising, said in a statement. “We recognize that there is a huge potential for revenue growth for Canadian newspapers with traditional print, as well as online TV listings guides, and have been very pleased with the tremendous interest and support we have received so far from Canadian publishers.”

Based in Fayetteville, N.C., Advantage Newspaper Consultants offers a complete TV Book ad sales program designed to turn TV listings sections into revenue centers. It also offers programs to increase Web advertising sales for newspapers’ branded Web sites and provides digital publication services for daily newspapers, special publications and independent community magazines.

By integrating newspaper industry experience with technology, ANC's sales program generated more than $25 million in advertising revenue for newspapers in 2008.
