CHICAGO "Prickly City" returned as a weekday and Sunday comic strip to the Chicago Tribune Monday. The strip, about a coyote pup and human girl who disagree about political themes, is written and drawn by Scott Stantis, who was appointed the Trib's editorial cartoonist several weeks ago.
Launched in 2004 and distributed by United Feature Syndicate, the comic appears in more than 100 newspapers. In E&P's October issue, Stantis joked to Managing Editor Shawn Moynihan that the comic's reinstatement was not a condition of him coming aboard, but “it should have been.”
