CHICAGO Tensor Group Inc. announced the sale of an offset press to the government-owned Yemen News Agency, which will use it to print both newspapers and books.

The six-unit press with one folder is expected to be expanded to another six units in the near future, said Woodridge, Ill.-based Tensor.

The 40-inch wide T-400BE 4-high tower prints four colors. Its 2-high tower will print two webs of black at a speed up to 40,000 inches per hour. The Yemen News Agency plans to produce both tabloid papers with eight pages of color and 16 pages of black-and-white, as well as broadsheet papers with four pages of color and eight pages of black-and-white.

The agency is also planning to use the press to produce quarter-folded books.
