NEW YORK With operations in nine European countries, a product portfolio of 98 magazines, 72 free papers, 11 regional weeklies, 63 Web sites and interests in radio and television, Belgium's Roularta Media Group selected the NewsGate system from CCI Europe, Aarhus, Denmark, in its focus on editorial planning, assignment management and cross-media reuse of content. The contract includes the built-in AdRoom advertising solution.

"We will introduce NewsGate to ensure that everybody involved in the editorial process across different properties, publications and media in the group are continuously kept informed about planned stories and assignments," RMG Pre-media Director Erwin Danis said in a statement. "This will streamline our planning process and eliminate waste of resources through duplicated efforts."

The project integrates RMG's Fatwire online publishing system, allowing users to collect and edit content in NewsGate and send packages to Fatwire for publication on the Web.

The project includes upgrading the existing CCI AdDesk to support the latest Mac OS and QuarkXPress 8. AdRoom also will fully support workflow for Web ad creation and production tracking, and a Web portal will enable customers to perform online proofreading of ads.
