Eight Atex Polopoly Sites Go Live

By E&P Staff

Published: October 29, 2009 12:56 PM ET

NEW YORK Atex completed eight new go-lives of its Polopoly Web content management system in the past 60 days, ranging from dailies on four continents to an online directory publisher in Milan, a big broadcaster in Germany, and a new high-school-sports Web site.

Newsday in Melville, N.Y., is now live on the Atex Web CMS for Newsday.com and exploreli.com -- sites serving millions of visitors with up-to-the-minute news, information and advertising.

MSG Varsity, a multi-platform suite of services catering to high school sports and activities, is using the Atex Web CMS to support its comprehensive msgvarsity.com. Newsday and MSG Varsity are owned by Cablevisions Systems Corp.

SevenOne Intermedia, the multimedia branch of Germany's ProSiebenSat.1 Group, is live with the Atex Web CMS at a television station's Web site, which also will have Swiss and Austrian versions. It accumulated more than 325 million page views and 133 million page impressions last month.

Another live site, Dubai-based Gulf News, in the United Arab Emirates, also uses Atex content P-Series for its editorial operations. Published by Al Nisr Publishing, it is the region's largest English-language newspaper, with an average readership of 124,380.

West Sweden's largest morning newspaper, Göteborgs-Posten, launched its gp.se on the Atex Web CMS platform this month. It has run the Polopoly Web CMS since 2001. This implementation is part of Stampen Group's migration to the MktWeb platform based on the latest Atex Polopoly software release.

Italian media company AGI implemented the Atex Web CMS to create new communication models and form the basis of a new portal on environmental sustainability. The first Web site, sceltesostenibili.it, was deployed under the Atex software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. To roll out additional sites, AGI contracted with Atex to provide all hosting and managed services.

SEAT Pagine Gialle, a global provider of multi-channel advertising and communication tools, is live on the Atex Polopoly Web CMS for customer Web sites and micro-sites serving online directories of database information for 15 million households and 3.8 millions businesses.

Atex's Web CMS also is used by Brazilian popular daily Hoj em Dia for its Web site.
