Hawaii's 'Garden Island' Names New Editor/Publisher

Published: October 30, 2009 3:08 PM ET

LIHUE, Hawaii Lee Enterprises has named Randy Kozerski publisher and editor of The Garden Island newspaper, as well as president of Kauai Publishing Co.

Kozerski has served as interim publisher since publisher Mark Lewis left the newspaper on Kauai in September to become publisher of The Journal Times, a Lee newspaper in Racine, Wis.

Kozerski joined The Garden Island in 2007 as controller after serving three yeas as controller at The Journal Times.

Lee group leader John M. Humenik said Thursday that Kozerski brings experience and good instinct to his new role as publisher and editor, as well as a passion for the people of Kauai.

Lewis says the appointment "will allow the paper to continue its hard work for the people of Kauai."
