NEW YORK The Tampa Tribune has reached a deal with Dow Jones & Company to distribute The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and the New York Post in the Tampa Bay area, the Tribune announced Monday.

"This is a groundbreaking agreement for The Tampa Tribune," John Schueler, president of Media General's Florida Communications Group, said in a statement. "It brings together two great news organizations and is unprecedented in this marketplace. We were selected for this partnership over our competition because of the Tribune's innovative content, distribution and marketing capabilities."

Adds Ian Jackson, vice president of circulation for Dow Jones and the Post, "We are delighted to be working with The Tampa Tribune on this expansive agreement. We relish the opportunity to reach more of our readers through The Tampa Tribune's operational and creative local expertise. We are committed to serving our Florida customers with the best newspapers and we are confident that this association will give our readers unrivalled access to our unique content, viewpoints and coverage."
