Blumenstein was named managing editor of WSJ.com in June, and before that served as international news editor and China editor. She succeeds Nik Deogun, who is leaving to join CNBC as managing editor.

Debra Kuykendall Named 'Merced Sun-Star' President, Publisher
December 14, 2009 - Debra Kuykendall has been appointed president and publisher of the Merced (Calif.) Sun-Star. She most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing, and assumed the duties of interim publisher last November. She replaces Hank Vander Veen.
Jennifer Peter Named 'Boston Globe' Deputy M.E./Local News
December 14, 2009 - Jennifer Peter has been named deputy managing editor for local news at The Boston Globe. She is promoted from city editor. Peter succeeds Brian McGrory, who had given up his Globe column to take the position, and had the option to return to his column after two years. He is exercising that option.
