E&P's 8th Annual Photos of the Year Contest
Editor & Publisher's 8th annual Photos of the Year contest, sponsored by Canon, produced a record-setting number of entries. These prize-winning photographs were selected from hundreds of submissions in four categories (news, features, sports, and multiple images/photo essay), and represent some of the most striking images published this year by newspapers in four circulation classes. Whether it's the high price paid by our soldiers, the shooting tragedies in Nickel Mines, Pa., and at Virginia Tech, or an Iraqi girl's American journey to have her profile restored, there's much to be appreciated among this year's winning photographs.
