FD Magazine Wins Third Consecutive ‘Best Niche Product’ Award from the Society for Features Journalism

FD, the award-winning fashion, design and lifestyle magazine of The Dallas Morning News, was awarded first place in the category of Best Niche Product for the third consecutive year by the Society for Features Journalism (SFJ).

Published by the Morning NewsFD again captured first place in Division 3, which includes news outlets with a circulation of 200,000 or more. The Los Angeles Times took second place for the publication’s Image and Travel Magazine, while The Washington Post’s Spring and Fall Dining Guides took third.


Formerly known as FD Luxe, the 10-times-yearly publication was renamed FD in 2014 under the leadership of group publisher, Lindsay Jacaman and Mary Poe, associate publisher. FD also launched a new home-design title, FD House, in March 2015. Each year, SFJ honors the craft of features journalism and the people who do it for a living at news organizations and wire services.


Winners will be honored at the 27th Annual Excellence in Features Journalism awards in College Park, Maryland, August 26-29.
