Inside the Guardian’s Consumer-Revenue Operation

The Guardian is now making more money from reader revenue including paid memberships and subscriptions, than advertising revenue. Since February, it has grown paying members from 200,000 to 500,000, while one-off contributions have gone from 100,000 to 300,000 equating to £7 million ($9 million) during the same time period.
