AMC of Melbourne, Australia, and Tampa, Fla., appointed Alfred Chong CEO for Asia. With more than two decades’ experience growing businesses, both organically and through strategic partnerships, in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific region, Chong replaces industry veteran Reiner Ebenhoch, who left the company to pursue other business interests. Ross Wood remains AMC’s CEO for Australia Pacific. In 1986, Chong began his career in his garage with two employees and a $1,000 loan. When business at International Micronet Systems had grown to more than $8 million in 1994, he sold the company to CompuCom Systems, where he served as senior vice president of services. After leaving CompuCom in 1996, Chong moved back to Asia and has led several U.S.-based companies as they established a footprint into Asia.
