GateHouse Media New England Appoints VP of Advertising

John Bordeleau has been appointed Vice President of Advertising for GateHouse Media New England.

Bordeleau is an experienced advertising sales and media executive who has led large sales teams in New England and beyond through successful multimedia transformations.

He most recently led Morphing Media, LLC, a consulting organization of his own founding, where he specialized in serving emerging companies in the business-to-business space and providing business solutions for clients in the areas of marketing, sales and employee development.

Previously, Bordeleau was divisional vice president for Comcast, where he led its New England and Houston divisions to multimedia success. Leading a staff of more than 425 across 21 sales offices, Bordeleau led his division to impressive revenue growth. Bordeleau also spent several years as corporate vice president of advertising sales for Century Communications in Connecticut, where he led the Fortune 500 company toward three-fold growth levels.

Bordeleau will serve as the senior sales leader responsible for all print and digital sales and advertising operations, including GateHouse Media New England’s field advertising sales, digital sales, including Propel, major accounts and telecenter sales.

“I am very excited and honored to be given the opportunity to head up the sales operation of not only GateHouse Media New England but also Wicked Local Media Solutions,” Bordeleau said. “I’m really impressed with the staff and the great people who work here, and the legacy of some of the GateHouse publications is incredible.”

Sean Burke, president and group publisher of GateHouse Media New England, said Bordeleau’s addition will be an asset to the company and clients.

“We’re thrilled to have someone of John’s experience and caliber join our organization and to lead our talented team of advertising professionals,” Burke said. “John’s skills and experience at building and leading successful sales organizations will help our sales team to better meet the needs of our advertising clients.”
