Wayne King, A Former Newspaper Reporter And A Journalism Director At WFU, Has Died At Age 77

Wayne King was known for his humor and his passion for journalism during his career with the Detroit Free Press and the New York Times, as well as his work as the director of journalism at Wake Forest University.

“He was sharp with his wit and his grit,” said Paula Duggan King, his wife of 35 years. “He was brilliant and iconoclastic. He faced everything straight ahead.”
