Tampa, Fla. – The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com has named Robin Lankton marketing director. She will start in her new position Monday, Jan. 7. Lankton is an award-winning creative professional with more than 15 years experience in newspaper marketing.
“We’re delighted and fortunate, that someone with such demonstrated talent and deep knowledge of the market and media business, not only shares our strategic vision, but will be joining our executive team,” said publisher Bill Barker. “Robin’s experience and background will continue to position us as the first choice for local news and information through and beyond 2013.”
Lankton has achieved more than 250 international, national, state, and local advertising and marketing awards from numerous professional groups, including the Florida Newspaper and Marketing Executive conference, the Florida Press Association, and the International Newspaper Marketing Association, including a coveted ADDY from the American Advertising Federation of Tampa Bay.
“Robin’s previous experience at the Herald-Tribune in Sarasota, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Tampa Bay Times, position her perfectly to advance our relationships with our media partners, including The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Steinbrenner Field and the Yankees as well as USF Athletics,” said Barker. “She will be instrumental in developing our brands and will also be heavily involved with the community by managing our events and sponsorships.”
