Classified Concepts, provider of turnkey classified advertising solutions, has signed nine more newspapers so far this year, including the Dallas Morning News.
Producing more than $8 million annually for more than 30 newspapers, Classified Concepts provides easy-to-read locator maps for ad listings such as open houses and garage sales (E&P Online, June 21, 2005).
“We’ve been receiving phone calls from our readers asking when the garage sale maps are going to run again,” says Denver Newspaper Agency Call Center Director Michelle Ackerman, who added in a statement that the joint operating agency has seen resulting “increases in revenue, especially in the ad count line.”
Formed to help newspapers and television stations, Classified Concepts is the 3-year-old New Media division of Santa Barbara, Calif.-based mapping services company Maps.com.
