The Cartoon Art Museum of San Francisco will mark the 20th anniversary of the “Troubletown” political cartoon by hosting its creator on May 8.
Lloyd Dangle will present a slideshow with highlights of his self-syndicated feature’s two decades, do a Q&A session, and sign copies of his latest book.
The 196-page “Told You So: Comics That Could’ve Saved Us From This Mess” includes anti-Iraq War cartoons humorously skewering the Bush administration, Democrats, the media, and others.
Dangle’s work has appeared in the alternative press, in mainstream dailies such as the San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times, in magazines, and on Web sites.
