ACCESS MAG LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR ADVERTISERS

Newspaper Insert Seeks To Boost 4th Quarter Results





Looking to access more advertisers, Access Internet Magazine kicked off a promotional campaign to the business community this week. Access is the weekly personal technology magazine that is inserted in 83 U.S. newspapers – mostly on Sundays.



The Needham, Mass.-based publication e-mailed potential advertisers this week in an effort to entice fourth quarter spenders. Direct mail will follow. The campaign tells prospects, “Run your ads on Sunday and see results on Monday.”



To gauge the effectiveness of their advertising, companies are being encouraged to use unique phone numbers to track customer response to different creative campaigns or specific offers. In the same vein, unique URLs can be assigned to print ads for tracking reader response.



Access will also help advertisers compare sales results from two groups of ZIP codes: those where the magazine is distributed vs. those where it is not.



Dell and Compaq are among the magazine’s current advertisers.



Parent company Access Media Inc. is privately held.
