An full page ad claiming that animal rights terrorists control the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) appeared in the front section of The New York Times today.

The ad, which features a man in a black ski mask with the headline ?I control Wall Street,? advocates that NYSE officials capitulated to adding Life Sciences Research Inc. to the board after receiving threats from animal rights activists.

Reuters reported that the NYSE backed out of its agreement to list the company, which does federally mandated animal research for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, 15 minutes before the opening bell on Sept. 7.

The genesis of the ad is unknown. Richard Michaelson, the CFO of Life Sciences, told Reuters he has ?absolutely no idea? who is behind the ad.
