Los Angeles-based Shoom Inc. announced that Gannett Co.’s Newspaper Division will implement Shoom’s eTearSheets hosted online service for all its 90 dailies’ editions and zones.
Sixteen Gannett dailies already are part of Shoom eTearSheets’ on-demand ad information network. Shoom provides more than 300,000 advertisers and agencies with instant search capabilities of the 127 titles available online. Newspapers and advertisers can research more than a million pages, going back as far as five years, from one secure Web site. Shoom will archive newspapers for 10 years.
“As we move all of the Gannett properties to the Shoom environment, we expect to be able to offer all of our advertisers, large and small, single-portal access to electronic tearsheets for all of Shoom’s hosted publications,” Gannett Advertising Vice President Leslie Giallombardo said in a statement.
“The accumulation, standardization, and cross-linking of advertising data from all newspapers within Shoom’s environment presents a tremendous opportunity for both newspapers and advertisers to analyze relationships, trends, advertiser presence, buying patterns, and many more factors that are critical to their future success,” Shoom Executive Vice President and General Manager Michael Lynch said.
