The late creator of “Peanuts” will be spotlighted on the Oct. 29 episode of “American Masters” on PBS.

“Good Ol’ Charles Schulz” features film footage (including home movies), excerpts from “Peanuts” TV specials, original animations, photos, and more.

There are also interviews with people such as real-life inspirations for “Peanuts” characters, Schulz family members, Jules Feiffer, “For Better or For Worse” cartoonist Lynn Johnston of Universal Press Syndicate, and “Schulz and Peanuts” (HarperCollins, Oct. 16, 2007) biographer David Michaelis, who served as consultant to the 90-minute documentary.

“Peanuts” reruns by Schulz (1922-2000) continue to be syndicated by United Media.
