Feb. 18 is the deadline to enter this year’s Erma Bombeck Writing Competition.
The contest — named after the late syndicated humor columnist — is hosted by the University of Dayton and the Washington-Centerville Public Library in Ohio. More than 1,300 writers from around the world entered last year.
First-place winners will be selected in two categories: humor and human-interest. One Dayton-area winner and one national/international winner will be named in each category. Dayton-area winners will be published in the Dayton Daily News.
