Sarnub Industrie Grafiche S.p.A., which has operated a Goss Community press, ordered a shaftless Goss Universal 75 press for its facility in Cavaglia, Italy. The new press will offer local newspapers more pages with better color, as well as provide added capacity to print advertising inserts.
The press will be configured as two four-high towers, one two-high tower, a 2:3:3 folder with quarterfold capability, and four reelstands. Goss OPCS level 3 press controls were specified with a wide range of presetting functionality. Capable of printing 64 pages with four webs, the press will have a 620mm cutoff.
The order brings the number of Universal 75 presses ordered in Italy in the last two years to six, including more than 80 towers.
