AOL On’s Video Distribution Troubles Media Partners

AOL Inc. has spent the past five years building one of the biggest video-syndication businesses by helping clients get their content placed on websites large and small across the Internet.

 

The AOL On network syndicates 2.5 million videos from media companies like NBCUniversal, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Reuters and places on 2,500 websites. The wider distribution helps the publishers earn more revenue from lucrative advertising that runs along with the videos.
