(AP) The Associated Press and Dow Jones Newswires have launched an expanded editorial partnership that will increase the amount of financial news on AP state, national, and international wires.
The new project, which provides stories carrying the logo Dow Jones/AP, was announced by Jonathan P. Wolman, senior vice president of the AP, and Richard Levine, vice president and executive editor of Dow Jones Newswires.
Since 1994, selected Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal stories have been provided as part of AP’s premium F-plus service.
The expanded partnership will offer other Dow Jones stories, ranging from feature-length items to earnings reports and company briefs, to supplement the work of AP staffers on state, national, international, and financial wires.
The stories originate from items on Dow Jones financial news wires. Editors at Dow Jones and the AP Business News department work together in selecting stories for distribution and prepare them for movement on AP wires.
