AP Forges Distribution Deal With AnswersTV

AnswersTV, which produces general interest/lifestyle video content for the Web and other video-on-demand platforms, has struck a deal with The Associated Press to distribute content from its Health Channel via the AP Online Video Network.

The health-related content will now be available to the AP Video Network’s collection of nearly 2,000 affiliates comprised mostly of newspaper, TV and radio station Web sites. Those sites can use AnswersTV clips alongside their own related content to create deeper health coverage and attract more health-related advertisers.

Among the series that AnswersTV will license to the AP is The Answered Patient, which provides answers to typical patient queries on specific ailments and conditions. That show is hosted by longtime TV news anchor Jane Hanson and features a panel of various medical experts.
