Appetite for Newsprint Diminished in November

Year-over-year newsprint usage by U.S. daily newspapers in November declined 0.8%, to 712,000 metric tons, while publishers’ stocks fell 0.3%, to 897,000 tons, a 38-day supply, according to preliminary numbers from the Newspaper Association of America, based in Vienna, Va.

Revised figures for October show usage dipped 0.3%, to 767,000 tons, while stocks rose 2.1%, to 925,000 tons, a 36-day supply, according to NAA.
