APT Adds PinPoint to Support Ad Sales

Advanced Publishing Technology, Burbank, Calif., has added PinPoint to its online product suite, giving newspaper sales people a new approach to prospective advertisers. APT said it will release other online products this year.

Designed to motivate new advertisers and smaller businesses, PinPoint allows a user to identify all subscribers and advertisers by account number, name, address, phone number and e-mail, which are displayed using color-coded map points. The graphical view provides details of where and who advertisers’ customers and prospects are.

Powered by APT’s PinPoint technology and using Google interactive maps, a user can zoom to street level. A click on the map selects exactly the information needed. For example, a map showing advertisers or subscribers can be centered on a target advertiser’s business to show all prospective customers within a 10-mile radius.
