By: E&P Staff

Hipolito R. Corella has been named metro editor of the Arizona Daily Star, in Tuscon.

In January, Corella was appointed regional editor, overseeing the Star’s daily Neighbors pages and the paper’s three weekly zoned publications. He was named an assistant metro editor in 2002.

Before that, Corella, 37, held several reporting beats at the Star, including police, courts, Pima County, education, and local politics. His journalism career began in 1990 at the Albuquerque Tribune, where he covered the police beat.
