The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has cut 16 newsroom jobs, equal to 7% of the news staff at the state’s largest newspaper.
Fourteen of the cuts are in Little Rock and two are in the paper’s northwest Arkansas newsroom. The newspaper informed employees of the cuts yesterday.
In February, the newspaper laid off five employees in the Little Rock newsroom and two in northwest Arkansas. As many as 60 people across the paper’s departments were let go in the earlier layoff.
