At the Nexpo equipment show, Digital Technology International (DTI) announced that Cox Newspapers Inc. has selected its Web content management solution, WebSpeed, for its 17 daily newspapers.
The solution will be deployed through a partnership between DTI, COXnet, which handles support for all Cox Newspapers, and Escenic, the Norway company that provides the toolset that it is combined in WebSpeed with DTI’s content management architecture.
Cox already uses the DTI publishing suite for editorial and advertising at all its papers. “By standardizing on WebSpeed (Cox) will be able to capitalize on their common architecture,” DTI said in a statement.
“DTI and Cox have been strong development partners through the years, and have a history that spans more than a decade of working closely together on significant pagination projects for editorial and advertising,” COXnet General Manager John Reetz said. “Adding Escenic to the relationship brings us new Web capabilities, and new opportunities for delivery of digital data.”
Escenic CEO Oyvind Orbaek called the Cox contract “the definitive breakthrough for the relationship between Escenic and DTI.”
Installations had several Cox newspapers should be completed before the end of the year, COXnet said.
