The Press of Atlantic City has named city editor Charles Wray to the newly created position of Online Editor/Content Development Manager.
The position is designed to help the family-owned paper do what many newspapers have been trying to do: deliver news in a timely way on the Internet.
In Wednesday’s newspapers, publisher Keith Dawn said part of Wray’s job will be to develop “print and on-line opportunities that represent natural and logical extensions of our existing franchise.”
Wray has been at the Press since 1975, serving as a reporter, copy editor, assistant information systems manager, weekend entertainment section editor, business editor and, since 1992, city editor.
He holds degrees from Muhlenberg College and Monmouth College.
