AUGUSTINE NAMED PRESIDENT OF NYT BROADCAST GROUP

Roberts Retires After 30 Years At Times Co.


The New York Times Co. announced Thursday that Cynthia H. Augustine, senior vice president
of human resources, will succeed C. Frank Roberts as president of the broadcast group.


Roberts, who has been with the Times company for almost 30 years, will become chairman of
the broadcast group until he retires on Dec. 31.


The New York Times Co. operates eight network-affiliated television stations, along with
its 24 newspapers, three magazines, and two New York City radio stations.
