AZSTARNET.com TO WEBCAST LOCAL FOOTBALL GAME

Students, Web Site Partner On Webcasting





The Arizona Daily Star’s Web site is Webcasting a high school football game today, according to the newspaper’s online editor, John Bolton.



Bob Kaple, a senior at Catalina Foothills High School, approached the newspaper with the idea. The first football game at StarNet’s Varsity site will feature a showdown between Catalina Foothills and Sahuaro high schools.


Kaple, 17, who wants a career in sports broadcasting, will do the play-by-play for the broadcast. John Krause, a local sports talk show host on radio station KFFN 1490, will handle color commentary for today’s game.


Listeners will need Real Player.
