Bartimus’ Blog Pays Tribute to a Fellow Vietnam War Reporter

By: E&P Staff

Syndicated columnist Tad Bartimus has started a blog.

Her most recent post (http://community.eons.com/blogs/entry/115892-Missing-Kate) pays tribute to Kate Webb, the journalist who died earlier this month. Webb was best known for covering the Vietnam War for United Press International; Bartimus covered the Vietnam War for the Associated Press.

Webb and Bartimus were two of the nine female journalists who collaborated on “War Torn: Stories of War from the Women Reporters Who Covered Vietnam” (Random House, 2002).

Bartimus (profiled in E&P’s June 2005 issue) writes her column for United Media. The feature often connects her personal experiences with issues in the news.
