Free, Personalized News On Various Devices
Belo Interactive, the Internet subsidiary of Dallas-based Belo, has partnered with Strategy.com to launch a free personalized wireless service called My News.
My News delivers personalized news to various electronic devices, including the Internet, e-mail, mobile phones, pagers, and fax machines. The services carry locally produced Belo news as well as national and global content from other news services.
Strategy.com enables users to select which news they want and on what device they want to receive it. Belo plans to offer news on sports, technology, business, politics, and entertainment.
The first Belo sites to offer Strategy.com’s service are Dallasnews.com and CVUE.com. NWCN.com and TXCN.com will launch My News in late April. KING5.com and inlandempireonline.com will follow in June. The rest are scheduled to launch the service by Oct. 1.
