Universal Press Syndicate is offering excerpts from the book “80: From Ben Bradlee to Lena Horne to Carl Reiner, Our Most Famous Eighty Year Olds Reveal Why They Never Felt So Young.”
The Gerald Gardner/Jim Bellows-authored book — published last September by Sourcebooks — spotlights 80 people who are 80 or older.
Chapters being offered by Universal focus on Bradlee (of Washington Post fame), Horne, Norman Lear, Doris Lessing, and Monty Hall. The chapters, which can be purchased separately or as a package, are written from a first-person perspective.
Others featured in the book include King Features Syndicate columnist Helen Thomas and late Tribune Media Services columnist Art Buchwald.
Bellows is the former editor of the New York Herald-Tribune, Washington Star, and Los Angeles Herald-Examiner.
