BEST BUY, ROLLING STONE INK PACT

E-commerce Site To Get Editorial Content



(Mediaweek) BestBuy.com Inc., the Internet subsidiary of Best Buy Co. Inc., on Wednesday
announced an alliance with RollingStone.com, the Web site of the music and popular culture
magazine.



The agreement gives BestBuy.com access to music news, album reviews, Webcasts, videos, and
photographs from RollingStone.com and DownBeatJazz.com.



In addition to integrating content into its new Internet services, BestBuy.com becomes the
music sites’ exclusive online retailer of CDs and cassettes. The agreement also makes the
sites online merchandise sales partners by authorizing BestBuy.com to create and manage a
co-branded version of the RollingStone.com online store, the companies said.



RollingStone.com already had a content deal with Candies.com, a commercial site for Candies
shoe company.
