Bloomberg Turning To Robots To Deliver The News

Bloomberg editor-in-chief John Micklethwait told his 2,400 journalists in a memo on Tuesday that he was forming a 10-person team to lead a study on how to use more automation in writing and reporting.

Micklethwait called the robot-generated copy “smart automated content (SAC).”

    I have to admit, I am so looking forward to the day when the surviving financiers convene in Davos and announce (strictly amongst themselves, of course) that they have finally eliminated the need for the last troublesome unreliable human “employee” and will henceforward be realizing all profits for themselves… only to be interrupted by a cohort of 8-foot-tall, iridium-skinned, multi-armed Androids who then proceed to throw them all out the 80th-story window into the waiting arms – and gullets – of the teeming masses below.
