Boeglin Succeeds Stein as Wifag CEO

By: E&P Staff

Peter Boeglin has been named CEO of Swiss press manufacturer Maschinenfabrik Wifag. He succeeds Goetz Stein, who retired.

Effective Aug. 1, the change at the top followed Boeglin’s gradual assumption of new responsibilities over the past two-and-a-half years. Boeglin, 43, joined Wifag after working for 15 years as a manager for an industrial company and as a consultant in the areas of mechanical engineering and plant construction.

After almost 50 years with the company, the 69-year-old Stein remains one of its directors, with responsibility for research and development. He also is serving as interim manager of Wifag’s sales department.
