Boocoo Auctions is launching on Sunday a week-long series of daily auctions that will last just two hours for bidding on hot electronic consumer items like the iPad, and will donate all proceeds to the winning bidder’s favorite charity.
The auction will be a test of the two-hour online charity auction contest, said George Willard Sr., CEO of Boocoo parent Ranger Data Technologies.
“We feel it’s important to experiment with new platforms and programs to improve the opportunities for buyers and sellers. The ‘two-hour auction’ is another example of that type of innovation,” said Willard.
From Sunday July 25 through Saturday July 31, users will have the opportunity to bid on seven electronic consumer items. The auctions will have no reserve price and bidding start at $1.00.
The auction will be promoted in newspaper print and online sites. Launch June 21, Boocoo has 300 media partners.
