Several newspapers have added Consumer Networks’ online coupon tool called Boodle, the company announced.
Boodle’s new newspaper customers are: The Review in Alliance, Ohio; The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post; The Herald-Mail in Hagerstown, Md.; the Wilmington (Ohio) News Journal; the Cape Cod (Mass.) Times; and The Oklahoman in Oklahoma City.
Nearly 300 newspapers use the service to feature coupon-style offers from companies such as General Mills, Kimberly-Clark, and SC Johnson.
“Online grocery coupons are now a normal part of business for manufacturers, retailers, and consumers,” Jeff Beliveau, vice president of newspaper relations at Consumer Networks, said in a statement. “This is good news for the newspaper industry, as newspapers can leverage their strong Web sites with online coupon sections to attract new readers they aren’t reaching with print newspapers.”
