Boodle upgraded its coupon software OPAL to allow newspapers to sell, create, and distribute coupons from local merchants. The enhanced version also lets newspapers reverse publish online coupons into a print book.
?The new look and functionality of Boodle?s local coupon program is a huge improvement,? Vandy Paseur, customer service supervisor for SignOnSanDiego.com, said in a statement. ?We think this new ad space you can sell into is a very valuable feature to offer to our advertisers.?
About 100 newspapers work with Boodle to create local coupon content. Its national grocery coupon program is available on more than 500 newspaper Web sites.
