‘Boston Globe’ Names Deputy M.E./Multimedia

Bennie DiNardo has been named deputy managing editor for multimedia at The Boston Globe.

DiNardo, 51, has served as deputy business editor since 1999. He succeeds John Yemma, who is leaving to become editor of The Christian Science Monitor.

A 16-year veteran of the Globe, DiNardo previously served as an assistant editor at the Globe Magazine and as a copy editor. Prior to joining the paper, DiNardo was editor of the Boston Business Journal.

In his new position, he will oversee Boston.com?s editorial operations and the development of online video and other new-media ventures.
