Besemer Steps Up
BrassRing Inc. announced Wednesday that Deborah Besemer has been
named president and CEO of the online and offline recruitment
Besemer was formerly president and CEO of BrassRing Systems, a
division of BrassRing Inc. that provided companies with customized
Web-based hiring management solutions. Besemer succeeds Joan Sills,
who had been CEO of BrassRing since it acquired Central Newspaper’s
Westech Career Expo in January.
Besemer has more than 20 years of experience at software companies.
Prior to joining BrassRing, Besemer was at Lotus for more than 10
years, where she managed a buisness unit with revenues in excess
of $1.3 billion.
Based in Santa Clara, Calif., BrassRing is owned by The Washington
Post Co., Tribune Co., Central Newspapers Inc. (a subsidiary of
Gannett Co. Inc.), and Accel Partners.
