BRILL’S CONTENT PUBLISHER OUT

Cleere Will Remain As Consultant



(Mediaweek) Adrienne Cleere,
publisher of Brill’s Content for six months, was cut loose last week
but will stay on as a consultant.



‘We’re in the process of reorganizing the business side like we did the
editorial side,’ says a spokeswoman. ‘And [Cleere] is not part of that
reorganization.’



The media watchdog magazine founded by Steven Brill has been a
revolving door for publishing executives since its launch in June 1998.
Cleere replaced former TV Guide exec Sally Preston, who lasted just
two months before leaving last March for Meredith’s Better Home and
Gardens . Preston in turn had succeeded Deanna Brown, who had been
bumped up from publisher to president, before she left last August to
join the Web venture Powerful Media.



Brill, chairman of parent company Brill Media Holdings, this month
removed himself from the masthead as editor in chief and handed that
title over to former Talk magazine editorial exec David Kuhn, who is
also editor in chief of Contentville.com, Brill’s media e-commerce
site.
