A press forum that includes syndicated columnists is being hosted this Friday by the nonprofit Student Association for Voter Empowerment.

Featured at the event will be Washington Post/Washington Post Writers Group columnist David Broder, New York Times/New York Times News Service columnist Thomas Friedman, “NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” senior correspondent Judy Woodruff, Newsweek contributing editor/”McLaughlin Group” panelist Eleanor Clift, MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough, and former White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry.

Among the attendees will be about 200 young voters. According to a release, “the central question the panelists will be asked to answer is: what can we as young voters do to make our voices heard, affirmed, and recognized in the journalistic community?”

The 11 a.m.-2 p.m. event is open to the public and will take place at the American Institute of Architects building on 1735 New York Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C.
